Night Sky Secrets – Astronomy Dinner Tours

Experience an evening of stargazing, storytelling and discovery with Night Sky Secrets in Tropical North Queensland.

Set on the expansive Kanjini property between Kuranda and Mareeba, these astronomy dinner tours begin with a hot meal at sunset before exploring the night sky through large telescopes. Discover distant galaxies, nebulae, star clusters and visible planets while learning about astronomy and Aboriginal perspectives on the southern skies.

Hosted by experienced astronomy presenter Ian Maclean and Wiradjuri co-host Rosanne Reitze, the tours welcome everyone from curious beginners to experienced stargazers. Small groups of up to 12 guests create a relaxed setting for questions and discovery.

Seasonal tours generally operate from April to November, with dates selected around darker skies for optimal viewing. Private experiences are also available by arrangement, and all tours are weather dependent.
