Brian’s Shed

Tucked away in the historic town of Irvinebank, Brian’s Shed Museum is a collector’s dream and a true treasure trove of memorabilia. Part workshop, part shed, part museum, it’s the kind of place where the real challenge is working out what isn’t there. Vintage motors, tools, machinery and curious keepsakes fill every corner, many with stories that stretch back decades.

Brian himself is an icon of Irvinebank; a kind soul, a master of his craft, and the man who still maintains every motor and machine in the shed. Remarkably, some are more than 60 years old and still running. A visit here is as much about the conversation as the collection, with Brian always happy to share a yarn or two.

Visits are subject to Brian’s availability, as he may not always be home, which only adds to the charm of this authentic experience. Pair your stop with a wander through Irvinebank Heritage Town to dive deeper into the rich mining history of this small but mighty town in the Mareeba Shire.
