Set within a globally renowned nature reserve in the heart of the Mareeba Shire, Wild Nature Lodge is a haven for wildlife lovers, offering a rare opportunity to immerse yourself in the spectacular landscapes of Tropical North Queensland. With over 240 bird species and several native mammals in and around the lodge, this is one of the region’s most rewarding destinations for nature-based tourism.
Opened in 2022, Wild Nature Lodge features just three boutique bush tents, welcoming a maximum of nine guests at a time. This exclusive set-up ensures peace, privacy, and minimal impact on the environment. Wildlife is prolific, making every stay a unique encounter with the natural beauty of the Atherton Tablelands and Mareeba Wetlands.
The lodge is fully self-contained, with a commercial kitchen and a separate BBQ area for guest use. Dine on the expansive deck overlooking one of the Wetlands’ most stunning lakes, just a short 100m walk from your glamping tent. To help you settle in, a breakfast hamper is provided on your first morning.
Guests can also book the popular Nocturnal Creatures Tour, starting with sunset drinks and nibbles before a guided spotlighting walk to discover the Wetlands’ hidden wildlife.
